BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – The Sarah Lawrence College women's tennis team has been selected sixth in the 2026 Skyline Conference Women's Tennis Preseason Coaches' Poll, as announced by the conference on Friday, August 28.
The Gryphons received 21 points in the preseason voting, positioning the team sixth among the eight Skyline Conference programs.
Reigning conference champion Manhattanville University was selected first with 47 points and five first-place votes, followed closely by Farmingdale State with 45 points and three first-place votes. St. Joseph's-Long Island earned third with 35 points, while Purchase (27) and Yeshiva (26) rounded out the top five. Mount Saint Mary (12) and Mount Saint Vincent (11) were picked seventh and eighth, respectively.
Sarah Lawrence enters the 2026 campaign looking to build on its strongest season since 2021. The Gryphons finished 6-7 overall in 2025 and posted a 2-5 record in Skyline Conference play.
Sarah Lawrence will open its 2026 season on Friday, September 4, when the Gryphons travel to Bard College for a 4 p.m. match. The team will open its home schedule on Thursday, September 10, hosting Lehman College at 5 p.m. at the Sarah Lawrence Courts.
The 2026 Skyline Conference Women's Tennis Championship is scheduled to begin October 21.
