BRONXVILLE, N.Y. — The Sarah Lawrence College women's soccer team has been selected fifth in the 2026 Skyline Conference Women's Soccer Preseason Coaches' Poll, as announced by the conference on Friday, August 28.
The Gryphons received 87 points and one first-place vote in the preseason voting, placing Sarah Lawrence among the conference's top five heading into the 2026 campaign.
Mount Saint Vincent was selected first with 108 points and three first-place votes, narrowly edging defending Skyline Conference champion St. Joseph's-Long Island, which received 106 points and four first-place votes. Farmingdale State was picked third with 101 points and three first-place votes, while United States Merchant Marine Academy followed in fourth with 88 points.
Sarah Lawrence enters the 2026 season after an impressive 2025 campaign. The Gryphons finished 8-9-2 overall and 7-3-1 in Skyline Conference play, closing the regular season on an eight-match unbeaten streak before advancing to the first round of the Skyline Conference Tournament.
Senior
Katey Beaver returns to lead the Gryphons in her final collegiate season. A three-time all-conference selection, Beaver recorded eight goals and six assists as a junior, including four game-winning goals. She enters the 2026 campaign with 26 career goals and 19 assists and has an opportunity to become the program's all-time career scoring leader.
Sarah Lawrence will open the 2026 season on Tuesday, September 1, hosting Yeshiva University at Fleming Field in Bronxville, N.Y., with kickoff scheduled for 7:00 p.m. The Gryphons will play 18 matches this season, including eight contests at Fleming Field, before closing the regular season with five consecutive road matches.
The 2026 Skyline Conference Women's Soccer Championship is scheduled to begin with first-round matches on November 1.
