BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – The Sarah Lawrence College equestrian team has announced its 2026 competition schedule, featuring five regular-season shows as the Gryphons prepare for another run through the Intercollegiate Horse Shows Association (IHSA) postseason.
Sarah Lawrence opens the season Sunday, Oct. 11, at Crosswinds Equestrian Center in LaGrangeville, N.Y., where the Gryphons will compete in a show hosted by Marist University.
The Gryphons will compete twice more in October, traveling to New Paltz on Oct. 18 before returning to competition Oct. 24 at Centenary College. Sarah Lawrence will then compete in a double show at Centenary on Nov. 14 before closing out the regular season Nov. 22 at Marist.
Following the regular season, the Gryphons will begin their postseason pursuit April 3 at the IHSA Regionals, hosted at Crosswinds Equestrian Center. The IHSA Zones will take place April 10 at the Centenary College Equestrian Center, with riders advancing from zones earning the opportunity to compete at the IHSA National Championships.
The 2027 IHSA National Championships are scheduled for May 7-9 at Tryon International in Mill Spring, N.C.
The Gryphons enter the season looking to build on a strong postseason showing last year. Sarah Lawrence finished third at the all-region show, collecting eight ribbons, while two riders advanced to regionals. Maeva Lamson and
Nyah Raposo each earned third-place finishes at regionals.
Raposo returns for her final season and will lead a veteran group of Gryphons as Sarah Lawrence looks to continue its momentum and make another push through the IHSA postseason.
