Robert Cook, a junior from Sarah Lawrence College, has been selected as the HVMAC Cross Country Runner of the Week. Cook was the top HVMAC runner at the Hunter Invitational completing the 5K course in 19:25.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Sept. 26, 2011
Sarah Janosky, a freshman from Sarah Lawrence College, has been selected as this week’s HVWAC Cross Country Runner of the Week. Janosky led the Gryphons to a 7th place team finish out of 17 teams at the Hunter Invitational. Janosky covered the 5K course in 24:31 and has been the top Gryphon harrier in two out of their four races.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK – October 3, 2011
Antonia Verdi, a senior from Sarah Lawrence College, has been selected as the HVWAC Tennis Player of the Week. Verdi went undefeated on the week in singles and captured the only singles win against a strong Pratt team.

Kayla Pincus, a freshman from Sarah Lawrence College, has been selected as the HVWAC Tennis Rookie of the Week. Playing her first match in conference, Pincus posted a 10-0 victory at #2 singles over Vaughn.

Kathryn O’Sullivan, a freshman middle blocker from Sarah Lawrence College, has been selected as the HVWAC Volleyball Rookie of the Week. O’Sullivan recorded a double-double (14 kills, 17 digs and 5 aces) during the conference loss to Pratt.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK - November 14, 2011
The senior from Sacramento, CA averaged a double-double for the week (19.0 ppg, 10 rpg) on 59 percent shooting from the floor. The Gryphon co-captain set career highs against RISD, playing all 40 minutes, scoring 24 points and grabbing 10 rebounds.

SWIMMER OF THE WEEK - November 7, 2011
In Pulitano’s collegiate debut at the Sarah Lawrence Sprint Carnival, Pulitano took in three first place finishes and one second place. The Mountain Lakes, NJ native won the 100 yard IM and was second in the 100 yard butterfly and was part of the winning 200 yard medley and freestyle relay teams.

SWIMMER OF THE WEEK - December 5, 2011
Sarah Lawrence freshman Jay Pulitano has been selected as the HVWAC Swimmer of the Week for the second time this season. Pulitano had an outstanding performance at the Drew Invitational placing second in the 200 yard backstroke and 400 yard individual medley. Pulitano also set new conference best times in the 200 yard free (2:17.11) and 500 yard free (6:15.31).

Sarah Lawrence freshman Jay Pulitano has been selected as the HVWAC Rookie of the Week. In six events swam on the week, Pulitano finished no worse than second, winning three events. Pulitano also set the new conference mark in the 200 freestyle (2:16.00) and the 100 backstroke (1:11.16) and was part of the 200 medley relay (2:15.43) that set the conference mark.

Sarah Lawrence freshman Jay Pulitano has been selected as the HVWAC Rookie of the Week for the second time this season. Pulitano had a tremendous week taking first in all three events against Brooklyn College and collecting three more first place finishes at the HVWAC Invitational Championships, and competing in six different events across the two meets. Pulitano also improved the conference mark in the 100 yard butterfly (1:13.09) and the 200 yard medley relay (2:13.70)

Schoales has emerged as the Gryphon’s top freestyler, winning three events on the week setting new conference best times in the 50 Free and 100 Free.

Schoales has been selected as the HVWAC Swimmer of the Week for the second time this season. The freestyle specialist from Denver, CO, swept the sprint freestyle events against St. Joseph’s, winning the 50 free (28.18) and 100 free (1:03.69) and anchored the winning 200 medley relay (2:15.73)

The freestyle specialist lowered the Sarah Lawrence school record in the 50 yard freestyle to 27.12 at the Drew Invitational. Schoales, who also received Swimmer of the Week honors earlier this season, was part of the 200 yard medley and freestyle relays that placed 3rd.

Sarah Lawrence freshman Sarah Lenson has been selected as the HVWAC Rookie of the Week. A recent addition to the team, Lenson has already made significant contributions in the distance events, winning the 1000 Free and second in the 500 Free against Mount Saint Vincent.
