In 2012, Arman Osooli enters his second season as a Head Coach of Sarah Lawrence men’s soccer. He also served as Assistant Coach in 2010.
Osooli also works at Five Star Soccer Academy in Port Washington, N.Y. He serves as a youth team trainer, intramural coordinator and a coach for Five Star, providing instruction and training to youth teams from the Port Washington, Manhasset and Westchester areas.
In his inaugural season with the Gryphons, Osooli’s team notched a 5-8 record, with six student-athletes receiving HVMAC All-Academic accolades.
Prior to his involvement at Sarah Lawrence, Osooli worked for N.Y. Kosmos Soccer Club in Astoria, serving as coach of the club’s U-17 and U-9 boys’ soccer teams. His U-17 team qualified for the Eastern New York State Cup Finals Tournament and numerous other showcases, while his U-9 team was a two-time Cosmopolitan Junior Soccer League finalist, capturing the championship once.
Osooli began his playing career at Michigan’s Vardar Soccer Club and advanced to join the United States Region 2 Olympic Development Team.
Osooli was a four-year starter and co-captain of his team at Hofstra University. During his career, he helped to lead the Pride to three Colonial Athletic Association championships and subsequent NCAA Division I Men’s Soccer Championship berths.
After graduation, Osooli continued playing as a semi-professional for Long Island Academy and Brooklyn Knights.
