Robyn Fishman

Sarah Lawrence Director of Athletics Kristin Maile announced the hiring of Robyn Fishman as the school's head women's tennis coach as of April 17th, 2024

Fishman was a nationally ranked Junior Player and a top-ranked ETA player, joining the Roosevelt boys tennis team and playing singles. After high school, she played three years of varsity tennis at Dartmouth and currently holds the seventh-highest career winning percentage in the program's history (in singles play).

Robyn graduated from Dartmouth College with a B.A. in Mathematics before earning her M.B.A. from Stanford with a focus on Marketing and Strategic Management. She remains active within both communities, acting as an undergraduate admissions alumni interviewer for the schools. She also volunteers with the Arthur Ashe Legacy Foundation, raising awareness and funds for the organization at the US Open each year. She also launched Tennisfancast in 2014, an innovative social media brand that has grown to over 20,000 followers. Fishman also remains involved in competitive racket sports, as she is currently a Pickleball national competitor.

Fall 2024
In Fishman's first season at the helm, the Gryphons posted a season-opening 4-3 win over Albertus Magnus as well as a midseason sweep of Brooklyn College while mentoring standout first year Josey Jackson, who earned all-conference recognition. Fishman's first year emphasized player development, competitive growth, and the establishment of a strong culture within the program, setting the stage for continued advancement in the years ahead.

Fall 2025
Fishman oversaw a four-win improvement in year two, with a three-match win streak halfway through the season putting the Gryphons in position to compete for a postseason appearance. Despite falling short of a Skyline Tournament appearance, Fishman and the team posted the most program wins in a season since 2015. Jackson continued to shine under Fishman's tutelege while seniors Viha Shah and Colleen Coughlin stepped into prominent roles with outstanding individual campaigns.
