Mauro Miletic

Miletic joins the Gryphons in June of 2026

Director of Athletics Kristin Maile expressed excitement about the addition of Miletic, citing his extensive experience and proven success in the sport.

"Mauro's experience at the highest levels of volleyball, both as a player and coach, makes him an exceptional addition to our department," said Maile. "We are excited to welcome him to Sarah Lawrence and look forward to the continued growth of our volleyball programs under his leadership."

Miletic arrives in Bronxville with an extensive volleyball background spanning more than three decades as both a professional player and collegiate coach. Most recently, he served as the Head Women's Volleyball Coach at Manhattan University, where he led the NCAA Division I program from 2022-26 and earned Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Coach of the Year honors in 2023.

At Manhattan, Miletic oversaw all aspects of the Division I women's volleyball program, including recruiting, player development, budget management, scheduling, fundraising and alumni engagement. Under his leadership, the Jaspers produced multiple all-conference performers and the 2023 MAAC Rookie of the Year. Miletic also made a significant impact off the court, establishing the first alumni outreach initiative in program history, generating money for the program through alumni donations while helping to fund the construction of the program's first dedicated locker room and endowment.

Before transitioning into coaching, Miletic enjoyed an accomplished 18-year professional playing career as an outside hitter. Competing internationally from 1995-2013, he played in top professional leagues across Puerto Rico, France, Croatia and Slovenia. His experience competing at the highest levels of international volleyball has shaped his coaching philosophy and player development approach.

Miletic will take control of a pair of Gryphon volleyball programs with recent success, as well as young all-conference-caliber players within each program.
