Tom Diliberto

Tom Diliberto joins the Gryphons for the fall 2023 semester after a stint as the assistant cross country and track and field coach at Manhattan College, a division one institution in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. During Diliberto’s time with the Jaspers, the men’s cross-country team earned a second-place finish in the MAAC championships alongside a fifth-place finish in the IC4A Championships. The women’s cross country team finished fourth in the MAAC and 11th at the ECAC Championships that same year. He also led the school’s track and field teams to top-four finishes in the MAAC Championships and top-three finishes in the Metropolitan Outdoor Championships. 

Outside of coaching, Tom works as a doping control officer for the United States Anti-Doping Agency in addition to being the owner/operator of his own e-commerce clothing brand.

Tom graduated from Manhattan College in 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education and History, focusing on alternative methods of music-based social studies education for high school students as well as international relations and sports.

In his first year at the helm, Diliberto led the women's team to a fifth-place finish in the Skyline championship and the men's team to an eighth-place standing. Diiberto helped senior Leo Kalotihos turn in a career season, finishing 15th overall in the aforementioned championship meet and leading the men's team in each race of the season. He also guided Maya Pfeiffer to a 15th-place finish in the championship and Al Sinclair to an 18th-place finish, wrapping up the season with two top-20 performances.
