Mackrel earned her second-straight Skyline Rookie of the Week honors after winning three of her four individual events in a 4-0 weekend for the Gryphons. She took first place in the 100 yard backstroke (1:02.65) and second in the 50 freestyle (26.23) in Sarah Lawrence's double-dual victories over Maritime College and St. Joseph's College Long Island on Friday. Then, on Saturday, she won the 50 freestyle (26.62) and 100 backstroke (1:06.87) to help the Gryphons defeat SUNY College at Old Westbury and St. Joseph's College Brooklyn. Mackrel also contributed to a pair of relay victories including a new team record in the 200 yard medley relay (1:57.19) on Friday. For her efforts Mackrel was also named Skyline Swimmer of the Week by CollegeSwimming.com.
