Rosa Mykyta-Chomsky was named 2016 women's cross country MVP and was named to the Skyline Academic Honor Roll. She competed in all nine races of the season, finishing as top Gryphon in four races and among the team’s top three in all nine. Mykyta-Chomsky posted five top-20 finishes, including three top-10 efforts with a best overall finish of eighth place in the season-opener at Baruch Invitational (Sept. 4). She placed 10th at the NYIT Invitational (Sept. 17) and crossed the finish in ninth place at the York Invitational (Sept. 25). Mykyta-Chomsky ran a career-best 6K of 25:23 at NCAA Atlantic Regional Championship (Nov. 12) and ran her collegiate-best 5K of 21:07 at Warde Invitational (Sept. 10). She finished the season ranked No. 3 on SLC all-time 5K list, and No. 4 on 6K list.
