Colin Berg received the 2016 men's soccer Coaches Award and was named to the Skyline Academic Honor Roll. He started in all 17 games and played nearly every minute of the season, sitting for only seven minutes total. Berg led the team with three assists and scored the game-winning goal in a double-overtime 2-1 victory at York (Sept. 10). He notched an assist against Saint Elizabeth (Sept. 14) and scored a goal against St. Joseph’s Brooklyn (Sept. 17). Berg also recorded an assist in a win against Medgar Evers (Oct. 10) and assisted the Gryphons’ goal at St. Joseph’s Long Island (Oct. 15).
