Lauren Kilroy was named the 2016 women's volleyball MVP and was selected to the Skyline Academic Honor Roll. She played in all 26 matches as libero and finished the season with team-record 347 digs (3.99 digs per set). Kilroy totaled 56 aces, second most on team. She served season-high seven aces against Lehman (Sept. 17) and again versus Staten Island (Oct. 15). Kilroy totaled a season-high five kills against Old Westbury (Oct. 1) and set a program record with 30 digs against Staten Island (Oct. 15). She had four matches with more than 23 digs, surpassing the team’s previous record set in 2012. After one season, Kilroy ascended to No. 4 on team’s career digs list (347).
