Matias Sanchez was named 2017 men's tennis MVP and was also named to the Skyline All-Conference First Team. He played in eight regular-season matches, occupying No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles positions. Sanchez won back-to-back singles matches to start season, including a victory against Skyline rival St. Joseph's Long Island (March 29). He notched wins in singles and doubles against conference foes Sage (April 8) and St. Joseph's Brooklyn (April 26). Sanchez led the team into playoffs in No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles positions in Skyline Championship quarterfinal against Merchant Marine (May 2).
