Rookie Pat Newsom finished as the Gryphons' top runner, taking 16th place in a time of 29:57. The feat marked Newsom's first time leading the team and a 1:40 improvement over his previous 8K best.

Newsome joined teammate Caleb Jaster as the Gryphons' two medalists. Jaster took 17th, as the duo led the Green and White to a fifth-place overall finish.
