Basketball Ends the Week at Home 0-3; Fall to Vassar Follows

   The Gryphons faced tough competition this week in their final home games of 2011, starting with a loss to Vaughn College this Thursday, 23-68, and ending with a fall to Vermont Tech today, 24-103. In between, Sarah Lawrence faced Pratt Institute on Saturday, losing 35-62.

    Although the Gryphons end the week 0-3, several players put up good stats over the course of the weekend with senior co-captain Nick Streltzov (Sacramento, Calif./C.K. McClatchy) netting 24 points total in the three games. Junior Francis Oppong (Brooklyn, N.Y./Erasmus) put up 23 points and 26 rebounds.

Update:

    The Gryphons' final game of 2011 was held on December 3, at Vassar. The Brewers defeated the Gryphons 79-13. This is the Gryphons last game before going on a Christmas hiatus.

The next game will be at home on January 25, against Albany College of Pharmacy. Game time is 7:30pm.
