NEW YORK—The Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference has honored women's cross country runner Mary Kauffman (Marblehead, Mass./Marblehead) as Co-Player of the Week for the period ending Sept. 29, as announced by the league on Tuesday.

Kauffman took runner-up honors at the CSI Developmental Meet, crossing the 5K finish line at Van Cortlandt Park in 23:22, just 16 seconds behind the race winner. Her efforts helped the Gryphons to a 6th place team finish out of 17 teams.

Kauffman's honors are her second of the season, following a HVIAC Player of the Week selection on Sept. 17. Last week, she was selected to the HVIAC Honor Roll.
