BROOKLYN, N.Y.—In the team's final match of 2013, Sarah Lawrence College women's volleyball wrapped up the season with a 3-0 loss to St. Joseph's College Brooklyn in a Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference match at Brooklyn Technical High School on Tuesday.
Sarah Lawrence (3-24, 1-6 HVIAC) struggled to gain offensive momentum, tallying just two kills in the opening set. St. Joseph's Brooklyn (12-7, 7-0 HVIAC) notched 35 kills in the match and held the Gryphons to nine offensive points.
In the third set, the Lady Bears scored 15-straight points, a record for an SLC opponent, and clinched their second-straight undefeated conference season with the 25-8, 25-6, 25-5 victory.

Jenai Richards (Kailua, Hawai'i/St. Andrew's Priory) concluded her career by leading the Gryphons with three kills. Rookie
Clarisse Taboy (Ras Tanura, Saudi Arabia/George School) matched the effort with three spikes and anchored the defense with seven digs. Replacement setter
Yolanda Lyne Cando (Arlington, Va./H-B Woodlawn) recorded a season-high nine assists.
For St. Joseph's, Megan Moran led the match with 13 kills, followed by Lauren Ganun with 10. Setter Sabrina Cornia led the match with 25 kills and nine service aces.
The loss concludes a rebuilding year under first-year Head Coach
