BRONXVILLE, N.Y.—Sarah Lawrence College women's volleyball played host to Farmingdale State College and Mount Saint Mary College for a Skyline Conference tri-match at Noyes Court at Campbell Sports Center on Saturday.
In the first match, Sarah Lawrence (2-17, 0-5 Skyline) was defeated by Farmingdale (11-18, 4-4 Skyline) in straight sets. Sophomore middle
Monet Thibou (Brooklyn, N.Y./Elisabeth Irwin) led the Gryphons with the most kills, matching her career high. Classmate
Lin Zhu (Chengdu, China/Chengdu No. 7) tallied a team-high four service aces in the match.
The neutral-site match featured a showdown between Farmingdale and Mount Saint Mary (14-15, 3-1 Skyline). FSC took the first set, 25-23, but MSMC rebounded to tie the match at one set apiece with a 25-16 victory.
The third set saw Mount Saint Mary take the advantage, 25-22, only to have Farmingdale State strike back, 27-25. In the second 5-set match at Noyes Court this season, Mount Saint Mary rallied from a six-point deficit to take the decisive set, 15-12, and come away with the 3-2 victory.
The day's final match saw SLC fall to Mount Saint Mary in straight sets. Rookie
Lenie Siegel (Huntington Woods, Mich./Berkley) had a team-best five kills in the match and finished the day with 10 digs total. Senior
Alexis Chapman (Bend, Ore./Bend) led the defense with seven digs in the match.

Xina Graham-Vannais (Newtown, Pa./George School) had nine assists in the match and contributed to both of SLC's blocks in the match. Thibou and Chapman each contributed a block assist.
Sophomore
Clarisse Taboy (Ras Tanura, Saudi Arabia/George School) led SLC with 11 total digs on the day, adding a kill and two service aces, while classmate
Yolanda Lyne Cando (Arlington, Va./H-B Woodlawn) added two kills and a pair of digs.
