Box Score RIVERDALE, N.Y.—With the Gryphons making their Skyline Conference debut, Sarah Lawrence College women's volleyball fell to College of Mount Saint Vincent, 3-0, in a league match at the Peter Jay Sharp Center on Saturday.
Sarah Lawrence (2-11, 0-1 Skyline) was led by rookie
Lenie Siegel (Huntington Woods, Mich./Berkley) with four kills. Senior
Alexis Chapman (Bend, Ore./Bend) landed three kills, while sophomore
Clarisse Taboy (Ras Tanura, Saudi Arabia/George School) added one as well.
SLC setter
Xina Graham-Vannais (Newtown, Pa./George School) recorded eight assists in the match. Graham-Vannais, Chapman and Taboy each recorded a pair of service aces.
On defense, Taboy had seven digs, followed by Graham-Vannais and Siegel had four digs apiece.
Mount Saint Vincent (6-9, 1-0 Skyline) won its conference opener with Maria Leineweber leading the way with 12 kills. Nicole Henderson had 22 assists, and Jennifer Roman and Ashleigh Scozzari each had double-figure digs.
Sarah Lawrence returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 11, when the Gryphons travel to Old Westbury for a Skyline tri-match against the host Panthers and Sage Colleges.
