Box Score MIDDLETOWN, Conn.—Four Gryphons scored in double figures as Sarah Lawrence College men's basketball fell to Becker College, 104-71, in the consolation game of the Herb Kenny Tip-Off Tournament at Silloway Gym on Sunday.
Sarah Lawrence (0-2) came away with a fourth-place finish, and first year
Malin Segal (Marblehead, Mass./Concord Academy) was named to the all-tournament team.
For the second straight game, the Gryphons showcased depth, as the Green and White racked up 45 bench points.
Malin led the team in scoring for the second time in as many games. He shot 3-for-4 from beyond the arc to record 16 points in the contest while adding five rebounds, three assists and a steal.
Fellow rookie
Christian Moraros (Brooklyn, N.Y./ELEV|8 Academy) capitalized on six attempts from the free throw line to match a team-best 16 points. He chipped in six rebounds an assist and a block.
Sophomores
Stevan Radosavljevic (Lazarevac, Serbia/Grammar School Lazarevac) and
Graham Gilleran (San Francisco, Calif./Archbishop Riordan) also reached double-digits with 10 points each. SLC's rebound leader last season, Radosavljevic collected six boards against the Hawks.
Sophomore
Ege Ozcan (Istanbul, Turkey/Andrews Osborne Acad. (Ohio)) led the Gryphons with seven rebounds, adding six points and an assist on the offensive end of the floor.
Becker (1-1) controlled the pace from start to finish, shooting 50 percent from the field in both halves. Donovin Ford-Hayes racked up a game-high 26 points, and four other Hawks tallied at least 10.
Sarah Lawrence returns to Bronxville for its annual homecoming game. The Gryphons take on Pratt Institute at Campbell Sports Center on Friday at 8 p.m.
