Box Score NEW YORK—Though the Gryphons led by as many as eight points in the second half, Sarah Lawrence College men's basketball was defeated by Yeshiva University, 71-54, in a Skyline Conference game at Baruch College on Thursday.

GAME FLOWSLC took an early lead and built a seven-point lead, 16-9, at the midpoint of the first half. Yeshiva rallied to tie the game at 18-18, but the Gryphons responded to re-take an edge, 24-20. Yeshiva scored nine of the last 11 points of the period, taking a 29-26 lead into halftime.
Sarah Lawrence scored the first 11 points of the second half, breaking open a 37-29 advantage, before momentum shifted back to the Maccabees, who tied the game at 40-40. The Green and White made another push, and with 11 minutes to go, the Gryphons were on top 49-45. From there, Yeshiva took full control and closed out the game on a 26-5 run.

FOR THE MACCABEESShaje Weiss led all players with 21 points, adding a team-high seven rebounds. Shelby Rosenberg scored 12 points, and Judah Cohen reached double figures with 10 points.
