Men's Basketball Takes On Yeshiva

Box Score NEW YORK—Though the Gryphons led by as many as eight points in the second half, Sarah Lawrence College men's basketball was defeated by Yeshiva University, 71-54, in a Skyline Conference game at Baruch College on Thursday.

GAME FLOW
SLC took an early lead and built a seven-point lead, 16-9, at the midpoint of the first half. Yeshiva rallied to tie the game at 18-18, but the Gryphons responded to re-take an edge, 24-20. Yeshiva scored nine of the last 11 points of the period, taking a 29-26 lead into halftime.

Sarah Lawrence scored the first 11 points of the second half, breaking open a 37-29 advantage, before momentum shifted back to the Maccabees, who tied the game at 40-40. The Green and White made another push, and with 11 minutes to go, the Gryphons were on top 49-45. From there, Yeshiva took full control and closed out the game on a 26-5 run.

GRYPHON LEADERS
Junior Stevan Radosavljevic (Lazarevac, Serbia/Grammar School Lazarevac) scored 10 points in the first half and led the Gryphons with 17 points in the game, adding three rebounds, three blocks and a pair of assists. Classmate Mat Gerak (Monroe, Conn./Masuk) scored in double figures, totaling 13 points and five rebounds. Captain Graham Gilleran (San Francisco, Calif./Archbishop Riordan) scored eight points with six rebounds and three assists.

Rookie Parker Hagmaier (Oakland, Calif./Bishop O'Dowd) led the Gryphons with nine rebounds, contributing four points and three assists. Fellow rookie Gabe Eng (Brooklyn, N.Y./The Beacon School) tossed in seven points and three assists.

FOR THE MACCABEES
Shaje Weiss led all players with 21 points, adding a team-high seven rebounds. Shelby Rosenberg scored 12 points, and Judah Cohen reached double figures with 10 points.

Sarah Lawrence rounds out the 2015 calendar year on the road at Farmingdale State College on Saturday.
