NEWBURGH, N.Y.—After rain interrupted play on Saturday, Sarah Lawrence College women's tennis doubled-up Mount Saint Mary College, 6-3, in a Skyline match that concluded on Sunday at MSMC Tennis Courts. The win gives the Gryphons a perfect 1-0 start in conference play and marks SLC's first Skyline win for any program this fall.

Lane Garber (Los Altos, Calif./Los Altos) won their third-straight match at No. 3 doubles, 8-6. The duo of senior
Autumn Atkinson (Manasquan, N.J./George School) and junior
Juliet Slade (St. Paul, Minn./Central) also picked up a win, 8-4. With the victory Slade moved to 27 career doubles wins. The Knights cut the deficit with a win at No. 1 doubles.
RAIN DELAYAbout an hour into Saturday's action, the match was washed out by passing rain. With few breaks in the forecast, the coaches elected to suspend play for the remainder of the day and resume Sunday morning. Thankfully, the Gryphons were planning on being in the area to play Bard College--a match that has been postponed indefinitely.
BACK ON THE COURTSOn Sunday, the Gryphons came out firing, needing three points to turn a 2-1 lead into a team victory.
GRAB THE BROOMSAtkinson logged her first singles win of 2015 in a big way, sweeping her MSMC opponent, 6-0, 6-0, to win the No. 2 singles match.
GRYPHON MOMENTUMAt No. 4 singles, Slade carried momentum off a 6-2 first set and won the second set, 6-0, to earn her first win of the season. Fiordaliso improved to 6-0 overall this season by winning the No. 5 singles match, 6-1, 6-0, to clinch the SLC victory.
Sofia Reh (Villanova, Pa./Radnor) also earned a singles win, 6-4, 6-1, in the No. 3 position.
KNIGHTS GET TWOMSMC's Breanna Scott earned her second win of the match by taking the No. 1 singles spot, 6-4, 6-1. In the No. 6 match, SLC's
Moni Spancheska (Skopje, Macedonia/NOVA International) won eight games but was eventually overcome 6-4, 6-4.
UP NEXTWith Sunday's match against Bard postponed, the Gryphons play next on their home courts. On Tuesday, Sarah Lawrence plays host to Cedar Crest College at 7 p.m.
