Sophia Spralja (San Clemente, Calif./San Clemente) was named Women's Soccer Rookie of the Week.
WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY RUNNER OF THE WEEKMary Kauffman (Marblehead, Mass./Marblehead)At the 2015 Bard College Invitational on Sept. 19, Kauffman finished seventh overall with a time of 20:19 on the 5K course. Her Gryphon-leading performance among the field of 120 runners marks her seventh-straight top-10 finish. Kauffman's efforts helped SLC to fourth place in the 12-team field, the program's best finish at the meet in nearly two decades. Her selection follows Runner of the Week accolades on Sept. 8.
WOMEN'S SOCCER ROOKIE OF THE WEEKSophia Spralja (San Clemente, Calif./San Clemente)On Sept. 19, Spralja scored a goal and added an assist to lead Sarah Lawrence to a 4-0 win over St. Joseph's Brooklyn, the team's first-ever victory over a Skyline opponent. She scored her second goal of the season--the game-winner--in the 53rd minute of the game, and she added an assist on the final goal in the 77th minute. Spralja becomes the second Gryphon to earn Rookie of the Week honors, following the selection of
Nora Burrows (Titusville, N.J./Hopewell Valley Central) on Sept. 8.
