BRONXVILLE, N.Y.—Sarah Lawrence College men's basketball picked up a big win on Wednesday, defeating Cooper Union, 79-35, in a non-conference game at Noyes Court at Campbell Sports Center.

GAME FLOWSarah Lawrence controlled the game from start to finish. The Gryphons shot 22 for 40 in the first half (55.0 percent) and opened up a 48-9 advantage by halftime. SLC's reserves took over in the second half and slowed down the pace while out-scoring the Hawks 31-26 in the period. The Gryphons set three new season bests with 59 rebounds, 22 assists and 52 points off the bench.
GRYPHON LEADERSJunior
Ege Ozcan (Istanbul, Turkey/Andrews Osborne Acad. (Ohio)) scored a game-high 18 points while collecting 11 rebounds, earning his second double-double of the season.
Brendan O'Connell (Andover, Mass./Phillips Academy) recorded season-highs with 12 points and seven rebounds, adding a pair of steals and a block.
Junior
Stevan Radosavljevic (Lazarevac, Serbia/Grammar School Lazarevac) contributed 10 points, while fellow starter
Parker Hagmaier (Oakland, Calif./Bishop O'Dowd) contributed nine rebounds, including seven in the first half.
Rookie
Gabe Eng (Brooklyn, N.Y./The Beacon School) came off the bench to score eight points and match his season high of four assists. Sophomore
Malin Segal (Wenham, Mass./Concord Academy) also dished out four assists, scoring six points in the game. Sophomore
Andre Garibaldi (New Hope, Pa./New Hope-Solebury) had six rebounds in the second half to finish with a career-high 11 boards, matching his career best with a pair of assists. Sophomore
Jerry Ren (Guilin, China/Rutgers Prep (N.J.)) also got on the stat sheet, scoring two points with two assists.
FOR COOPER UNIONCU's Stephen Tang scored 17 points in the game while leading his team with seven rebounds. Adam O'Connor Jamia matched the seven-rebound total while scoring five points. John Donnellan scored seven points for the visitors.
UP NEXTSarah Lawrence returns to Skyline action with a trip to SUNY College at Old Westbury on Saturday. SLC returns home to host Farmingdale State College on Wednesday, Feb. 3, at 7 p.m.
