THROGGS NECK, N.Y.—Sarah Lawrence College women's swimming broke a team record and earned a pair of victories, defeating St. Joseph's College Long Island and host Maritime College in a Skyline double-dual at Riesenberg Aquatics Center on Friday.

MEDLEY RELAY RECORD
For the third time this season, the Gryphons broke one of their SLC medley relay records. In the 200 yard medley, sophomore
Devon Peal (Springfield, Va./West Springfield), junior
Hannah Lawson (Portland, Ore./Pacific Crest Community School), senior
Gabrielle Risica (Narragansett, R.I./Narragansett) and rookie
Naima Joy Mackrel (Woodstock, N.Y./Kingston) swam a time of 1:57.19. The new time is an improvement of 0.42 second from the Gryphons' previous mark set on October 15 against Stevens, and the performance gave the team its first win of the day.
WINNING GRYPHONS
The Gryphons went on to win four individual races in the double-dual format. Lawson touched the wall first in the 200 yard individual medley (2:22.86), and the reigning Skyline Swimmer of the Week swam a season-best in the 100 breaststroke (1:08.91) for another victory. Mackrel swam to first place in the 100 backstroke (1:02.65), and the current Skyline Rookie of the Week was second-best in the 50 freestyle (26.23). The team's final win came from Peal in the 500 freestyle (5:49.52); the sophomore placed second in the 1000 freestyle (12:13.86).
NOTABLE PERFORMANCES
Senior
Jacqueline Quirk (Millburn, N.J./Millburn) swam a pair of season bests with a second place in the 100 breaststroke (1:19.59) and a third place in the 100 freestyle (1:01.47). Junior
Elizabeth Kroll (Sacramento, Calif./The Met Sacramento) posted a season best with her second-place swim in the 100 backstroke (1:11.20) and also picked up a third place in the 200 freestyle (2:18.95).
Risica placed second in the 100 butterfly (1:09.18) in her first attempt at the event this season. Junior
Rachel Barkowitz (Fleming Island, Fla./Dedham (Mass.)) took seven seconds off her career best to post a new personal record in the 200 freestyle (2:25.08); she also had a season best in the 100 breaststroke (1:24.50).
Senior
Lydia Mullan (Winchester, Mass./Winchester) swam a season best in the 200 individual medley (2:54.79), while classmate
Sky Mihaylo (Albany, Ore./West Albany) set a new personal best in the 100 freestyle (1:09.09). Among the rookies,
Kaitie Dilan (Tolland, Conn./Tolland) and
Caitie Adler (Pikesville, Md./Wilde Lake) each swam to sixth place in a pair of events, and
Sarah Blanche Klein (Locust, N.J./Ranney School) bettered her personal best time in the 100 freestyle (1:08.85).
In the team's final race, Quirk, Klein, Dilan and Kroll teamed to complete the 200 freestyle relay in 2:00.14, good for third place.
