BRONXVILLE, N.Y.—Sarah Lawrence College men's basketball concluded the 2016 calendar year with a 77-54 victory over College of Saint Elizabeth in a non-conference game at Noyes Court at Campbell Sports Center on Tuesday. Three Gryphons scored in double-figures to lift the team to its best record at the semester break since the 2007-08 season.

Joseph Kleeman (Greenwood Village, Colo./Arapahoe) scored the game's first three-point field goal to tie the score at 14-14 in the game's ninth minute. Sophomore
Parker Hagmaier (Oakland, Calif./Bishop O'Dowd) scored the points that put the Gryphons ahead for good. Kleeman drained another trey, and rookie
BJ Sanders (Silver Spring, Md./Georgetown Prep) scored back-to-back layups to round out a 12-point run, the team's longest streak of the game.
By halftime, Kleeman and Sanders had both scored in double figures with 12 and 10 points, respectively. Senior
Mat Gerak (Monroe, Conn./Masuk) followed with eight points at the break.
The second-half scoring was divided among 10 different Gryphons. Junior
Malin Segal (Wenham, Mass./Concord Academy) made good on a pair of three-point attempts, and classmate
Andre Garibaldi (New Hope, Pa./New Hope-Solebury) scored six points without missing a shot in the period. The Sarah Lawrence lead never fell below 15 points in the second half, and the team achieved its largest margin, 73-45, with four minutes to play. The Eagles were held to 8-for-35 (22.9%) field-goal shooting in the period, and the Gryphons picked up their fourth win of the season.
MAKING THE TURN
With the first third of the season in the books, Sarah Lawrence holds a 4-4 overall mark, matching the team's best record at the semester break, set in the program's first season playing fall and spring, 2007-08.
TOP GRYPHONS
Kleeman has scored in double-digits in five of the last six games and led Tuesday's game with 17 points and a career-high 10 rebounds for his first collegiate double-double. Sanders totaled 13 points with five rebounds and three steals, while Gerak finished with 12 points and five boards. Garibaldi scored eight points, while sophomore
Gabriel Eng (Brooklyn, N.Y./The Beacon School) followed with seven points and a career-high eight rebounds. Senior
Graham Gilleran (San Francisco, Calif./Archbishop Riordan) crashed the boards and notched seven points and three blocks.
