GAME FLOW
Sarah Lawrence took its first lead six minutes into the game after junior Ege Ozcan (Istanbul, Turkey/Andrews Osborne Acad. (Ohio)) drained a three-pointer to give SLC a 5-4 edge. Ozcan added another three-pointer and a layup to score eight of the Gryphons' first 10 points. With little more than six minutes to go in the period, rookie Parker Hagmaier (Oakland, Calif./Bishop O'Dowd) made back-to-back layups, giving SLC its largest lead of the game, 21-11. Farmingdale went on a nine-point streak late in the period, and the Gryphons led at halftime, 25-24.

FSC opened the second half on a 12-1 run to take a 36-26 advantage. A three-pointer by junior Graham Gilleran (San Francisco, Calif./Archbishop Riordan) and a layup by classmate Stevan Radosavljevic (Lazarevac, Serbia/Grammar School Lazarevac) earned five points for SLC, splitting the deficit to 36-31. For the next 10 minutes, the Gryphons held the gap under 10 points until FSC scored five straight points for a 57-46 lead with five minutes to play.

The pace quickened as the teams combined for 32 points in the last five minutes, nearly a quarter of the game's total scoring output. SLC got back within two possessions after a three-pointer by rookie Gabe Eng (Brooklyn, N.Y./The Beacon School) made it a 63-58 game with two minutes to go. With 33 seconds left, Eng made his fourth trey of the day and SLC was within reach, 67-65.
