BRONXVILLE, N.Y.—The Gryphons led by a point with 15 minutes to play, but Sarah Lawrence College men's basketball was defeated by Yeshiva University, 74-63, in a Skyline game at Noyes Court at Campbell Sports Center on Tuesday.

Stevan Radosavljevic (Lazarevac, Serbia/Grammar School Lazarevac) dominated the opening minutes and scored his 10th point to bring the Gryphons even with the Maccabees, 23-23, with four and a half minutes to go in the first half. YU went on a 10-point run to lead 33-23 and led 35-24 at the break.
SLC held Yeshiva scoreless for four minutes early in the second half. During that time, Gerak made four free throws, while captain
Graham Gilleran (San Francisco, Calif./Archbishop Riordan) scored six points to erase the deficit with a 12-0 run. SLC's last lead was at 38-37 with 15:08 on the game clock. Yeshiva re-opened a double-digit lead at 51-41, and maintained their edge at 61-51 with four and a half minutes remaining. SLC was unable to close the gap to single digits, and YU won its 10th league game of the season.
FREE THROW CONTESTWith a combined 41 fouls, the teams shot a total of 46 free throws. SLC made 18 of 20 free throws, the program's second highest shooting percentage (.900) with at least 10 made. In team history, the effort was only surpassed by an 18 for 19 game on January 9 of this season. For their part, the Maccabees made 20 of 26 in Tuesday's game.
FOR THE GRYPHONSRadosavljevic notched his second double-double of the season on 20 points and a game-high 10 rebounds. Gilleran finished with 14 points, while Gerak and rookie
Gabe Eng (Brooklyn, N.Y./The Beacon School) each scored 11 points.
FOR YESHIVAShelby Rosenberg dominated under the basket, converting on 10 of 14 shots and 9 of 10 free throws to total 30 points while gathering nine rebounds. Judah Cohen scored 17 points, and Shaje Weiss added 12 points.
