Box Score 2 JERSEY CITY, N.J.—Sarah Lawrence College women's volleyball split its matches, falling to New Jersey City University, 3-0, while defeating Lehman College, 3-0, in non-conference action at the John J. Moore Athletics and Fitness Center on Saturday.

AGAINST NJCU
Four kills from the Gryphons and seven errors by the Gothic Knights led to an 11-11 tie in the opening set. From there, NJCU took control and picked up a 25-16 win. The Gothic Knights sprinted out to a 9-1 lead in the second set, but rookie
Lauren Kilroy (King of Prussia, Pa./Country Day Sch. of the Sacred Heart) got the Gryphons back in the set by serving up a nine-point rally. Sarah Lawrence took a 7-2 lead in the third set, and parlayed the momentum into a 15-9 advantage. SLC led late, 19-16 but the Gothic Knights clinched the sweep by scoring nine of the final 10 points.
AGAINST LEHMAN
The Gryphons diffused the Lightning by breaking open an 11-5 lead in the first set. Lehman closed the deficit to 13-12 before the Green and White cruised to a 25-16 win. The Gryphons racked up 16 kills in the second set and posted a seven-point run to turn a 14-12 lead into an insurmountable 21-12 margin. Kilroy again went on a dominant serving run, scoring 11 straight points to give the Gryphons their fourth sweep of the season.
GRYPHONS PERFORMANCES
Rookie
Francesca Kohani (Carlsbad, Calif./La Costa Canyon) led the Gryphons with double-doubles in both contests. She recorded 12 kills and 13 digs against NJCU before posting 14 kills with 12 digs versus Lehman. Kilroy finished the day with team highs of eight service aces and 32 digs, adding three kills and three assists. Sophomore setter
CJ Kelley (Las Vegas, Nev./Basic) had 41 assists, 10 kills and 10 matches, while seniors
Yolanda Lyne Cando (Arlington, Va./H-B Woodlawn) and
Monet Thibou (Brooklyn, N.Y./Elisabeth Irwin) recorded six kills apiece over the two matches. Rookie
Cat Ramey (Nashville, Tenn./Franklin Road Academy) contributed five kills and 16 digs.
