Box Score BROOKLYN, N.Y.—Bolstered by 31 kills, including 17 in the third set, Sarah Lawrence College women's volleyball swept Medgar Evers College, 3-0, in a non-conference match at the MEC Cougars Cave on Tuesday. Currently at 5-3, the Gryphons are off to their best start through eight matches since the 2001 season.

KEY MOMENTS
Sarah Lawrence trounced the Cougars in the first set, capitalizing on a 12-point run served up by CJ Kelley (Las Vegas, Nev./Basic). The sophomore setter had four aces in one term of service, and the streak was one point shy of a program record for longest scoring streak. Rookie Ellen Vild (Saratoga Springs, N.Y./Saratoga Springs) recorded four straight service aces to expand the lead to 22-6, and the Gryphons closed out the set, 25-8. Rookie Cat Ramey (Nashville, Tenn./Franklin Road Academy) served three aces and anchored the Gryphons to a 9-0 start in the second set, and the lead was never threatened. The Cougars took a two-point advantage in the third set, but the Gryphons closed out the sweep by a 25-18 margin.

TOP PERFORMANCES
Rookie Francesca Kohani (Carlsbad, Calif./La Costa Canyon) extended her streak to eight matches leading the Gryphons in kills, totaling 10 in the match. Kelley had seven kills in the match and contributed 20 assists. Senior Yolanda Lyne Cando (Arlington, Va./H-B Woodlawn) racked up four kills on offense. The Gryphons' defense was led by senior Clarisse Taboy (Ras Tanura, Saudi Arabia/George School), who led all players with eight digs, sharing the honors with another eight by rookie Lauren Kilroy (King of Prussia, Pa./Country Day Sch. of the Sacred Heart).
