Women's Volleyball Makes History, 5-0 at Home

Box Score BRONXVILLE, N.Y.—For the first time in program history, the Gryphons are 5-0 at Campbell Sports Center after Sarah Lawrence College women's volleyball earned a 3-1 victory over Lehman College at Noyes Court on Friday. In the win, rookie Cat Ramey (Nashville, Tenn./Franklin Road Academy) recorded the program's fourth-ever triple-double.

KEY MOMENTS
Reigning Skyline Rookie of the Week Francesca Kohani (Carlsbad, Calif./La Costa Canyon) had four kills in the opening set, while Ramey served up five aces. The Gryphons closed out the first set 25-16 and carried that momentum into the second. Sarah Lawrence totaled 14 kills in the second set as Ramey contributed six, while sophomore setter CJ Kelley (Las Vegas, Nev./Basic) added five kills. SLC turned a 16-16 tie into a comfortable 25-19 win.

In the third set, the Gryphons' offense struggled with the team committing 12 attack errors against nine kills. The Green and White had a late four-point run to lead 22-20, but the Lightning won five straight points to steal the set, 25-22. Sarah Lawrence recovered fashionably and dominated the fourth set. The Gryphons served up nine aces and had just one attack error against eight kills. In the set, SLC kept Lehman from winning back-to-back points, and Sarah Lawrence clinched victory, 25-9.

LEADING GRYPHONS
Ramey finished the match with her first collegiate triple-double, totaling 11 kills, 10 aces and 10 digs. Kelley led the Gryphons with 12 kills, hitting over 63 percent in the match. The sophomore setter added 24 assists and eight digs for her second-straight double-double. Kohani led the team with 15 digs, adding 11 kills for a double-double. Senior Monet Thibou (Brooklyn, N.Y./Elisabeth Irwin) totaled four kills, and rookie Ellen Vild (Saratoga Springs, N.Y./Saratoga Springs) served up three aces. Rookie libero Lauren Kilroy (King of Prussia, Pa./Country Day Sch. of the Sacred Heart) finished with 11 digs.

Sarah Lawrence hosts a non-conference tri-match on Saturday. The Gryphons will take on College of Staten Island and SUNY College at Old Westbury beginning at 11 a.m.
