BRONXVILLE, N.Y.—Senior
Jeff Jordan II (Smithfield, Va./Smithfield) led the Gryphons with a career-high 21 points when Sarah Lawrence College men's basketball hosted Skyline rival Purchase College at Noyes Court at Campbell Sports Center on Saturday. Despite his efforts, the Gryphons fell to the Panthers, 86-60.

Purchase scored the game's first seven points before Jordan and rookie
BJ Sanders (Silver Spring, Md./Georgetown Prep) reversed the momentum. Jordan scored seven quick points and Sanders added four to give the Gryphons their first lead of the game, 11-9, after six and a half minutes of action. Sophomore
Parker Hagmaier (Oakland, Calif./Bishop O'Dowd) added a field goal to put SLC in front, 13-11, for what would be the last time the Green and White held the lead. Graham Gilleran (San Francisco, Calif./Archbishop Riordan) accrued eight points by the break.
Starting the second half trailing 41-27, Sarah Lawrence was unable to cut the deficit to single digits. The Panthers shot 13-for-18 from the field (72.2 percent) and held off any of the Gryphons' advances. Jordan converted on two more field goals and 6-of-7 free throw attempts for 10 points in the period. Sanders scored eight more points before time expired on the Gryphons' first Skyline game of 2017.

Jordan set a Sarah Lawrence record with his 7-for-7 field goal shooting, becoming the first Gryphon to go perfect on more than five attempts in a game. His 21-point total was accompanied by four rebounds and four assists. Sanders reached double-figures with 12 points, collecting a team-best seven rebounds.
Gilleran scored double-figures in back-to-back games for the second time this season, totaling 11 points with a rebound and block in Saturday's contest. Hagmaier contributed nine points, seven rebounds and three assists. Sophomore
