COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Sarah Lawrence College men's basketball team suffered a 78-55 loss to Millikin University Friday in the opening game of the 2017 Rocky Mountain Thanksgiving Classic at Colorado College.

It was a back and forth contest in the opening period that featured 11 lead changes and six ties. Trailing 35-32 with 3:03 remaining,
Kaleb Robinson (Las Vegas, Nev./Deerfield Academy (Mass.)) scored the final five points of the half, giving the Gryphons a 37-35 edge at halftime.
Sarah Lawrence had its best first-half shooting performance from behind the arc, nailing 7-of-14 three-point field goals. Robinson and
Malin Segal (Wenham, Mass./Concord Academy) led the way with three triples apiece.
The Gryphons got strong contributions from the bench in the first half, outscoring the Millikin bench 19-12. Robinson scored eight points, while
Andre Garibaldi (New Hope, Pa./New Hope-Solebury) scored eight of his own, with two of his baskets giving Sarah Lawrence a lead.
The Big Blue turned it on in the second half, outscoring the Gryphons 43-18, including a 16-0 run. Millikin shot 55-percent from the field in the second period and took advantage of its size, collecting seven offensive rebounds.
Three players finished in double-figures, including Segal (13), Robinson (13) and Garibaldi (10). Garibaldi's 10 points tied a career-high.
