Box Score PURCHASE, N.Y.—Four Gryphons scored in double figures, but Sarah Lawrence College men's basketball was defeated by Purchase College, 73-68, in Skyline action at PC Gymnasium on Saturday.

Graham Gilleran (San Francisco, Calif./Archbishop Riordan) converted on a pair of three-point attempts to give the Gryphons an early 8-2 advantage. Sophomore
Gabriel Eng (Brooklyn, N.Y./The Beacon School) scored a three-pointer later in the period to hand the Green and White their largest lead at 19-12. Gilleran drained another trey to lift the team to a 22-15 lead. From there, the Panthers took control for the remainder of the period and held a 38-29 lead at halftime.
After the break, Sarah Lawrence was scoreless for six minutes, falling behind 53-29. The Gryphons responded with a 9-0 run to cut the deficit to 53-38. Eng drained a three-point basket that brought the gap to single digits, 57-48, with just under eight minutes to play. BJ Sanders (Silver Spring, Md./Georgetown Prep) made a layup to pull within one possession, 71-68. The Gryphons had a few more opportunities, but Purchase held on to win by five.

Austin Jones (Upper Marlboro, Md./Flint Hill School) scored nine points and tallied six rebounds and four assists.
Rookie
Joseph Kleeman (Greenwood Village, Colo./Arapahoe) posted team-highs with six assists and three steals, adding four rebounds. Sophomore
Parker Hagmaier (Oakland, Calif./Bishop O'Dowd) made contributions with five points.
