It was the Privateers' second visit to Noyes Court this season, with the outcome much different than the previous meeting.
Tied 12-12 in the opening set, Sarah Lawrence scored six straight points to take an 18-12 advantage. Trailing 24-18, Maritime used five unanswered points to get within one, but a service error ended the game and gave the Gryphons a 1-0 series lead.
The Privateers tied the match in the second set, scoring the first five points of the game while racing out to a 19-6 lead and never looking back.
