BROOKLYN, N.Y. – The Sarah Lawrence College women's basketball team suffered a 76-46 loss at Pratt Wednesday in its non-conference finale at Activities Resource Center.

The Cannoneers raced out to a 21-7 lead after one quarter. Sarah Lawrence got it going offensively in the second period, outscoring Pratt 17-7 in the quarter thanks to seven points from
Ruth Doberenz (Phoenixville, Pa./Phoenixville Area), shrinking the deficit to four points going into halftime (28-24).
In the second half, the Cannoneers outscored the Gryphons 48-22 over the final two quarters to pick up the win.
TOP GRYPHON PERFORMANCES
Taryn Penna (Sparta, N.J./Sparta) paced Sarah Lawrence with 17 points, her eighth contest in double-figures this season. The junior also posted a season-high 18 rebounds, giving her five double-doubles on the year.
Doberenz finished with a season-high 14 points, two rebounds and two assists in the contest. Making her season debut,
Emmamazy Prior (Germantown, N.Y./Hawthorne Valley School) was solid, recording eight points, 12 rebounds and two assists.
