RECAP
The two squads traded blows in the opening period, as the half featured five ties and four lead changes. Bench production proved to make a difference, as the Knights got solid contributions from their reserves, outscoring the Gryphons' bench 18-5. Mount Saint Mary also capitalized on Sarah Lawrence miscues, holding a 10-5 advantage in points off turnovers, en route to taking a 38-27 lead into intermission.

Sarah Lawrence quickly shrunk the deficit to three in the second half, outscoring the Knights 13-5 over the first 5:28 of the period (43-40). The run was keyed by its trio of first-years, Isaiah Pean (Spring Valley, N.Y./Dwight-Englewood), Kaleb Robinson (Las Vegas, Nev./Deerfield Academy (Mass.)) and Enike Anyia (Los Angeles, Calif./Wilbraham & Monson Academy).

Trailing 47-42, the Gryphons scored six unanswered to take their first lead since the 7:22 mark of the opening half, keyed by a triple from Robinson and a completed three-point play from Austin Jones (Upper Marlboro, Md./Flint Hill School) (48-47). Mount Saint Mary countered with a 10-3 spurt to regain the lead (57-51), but Sarah Lawrence answered with a 10-1 run to reclaim its edge (61-58) with 5:57 remaining in regulation.

Mount Saint Mary did not go away, outscoring Sarah Lawrence 12-3 over the next 4:42 to take the lead (70-64).

The Gryphons continued to battle, as BJ Sanders (Silver Spring, Md./Georgetown Prep) and Malin Segal (Wenham, Mass./Concord Academy) connected on baskets to trim the deficit to one with 50 seconds left to play (70-69). Trailing 74-70 with 31 seconds remaining, Robinson buried another trey to keep Sarah Lawrence in striking distance, but free throws down the stretch preserved the Knights' victory.

TOP GRYPHON PERFORMANCES
Jones turned in his second 20-point performance of 2018, while dishing out eight assists. His eight assists moved him into a tie with Matt Gerak (158) for the second-most in program history, now trailing only Graham Gilleran (San Francisco, Calif./Archbishop Riordan) (174).

Segal reached double-figures for the eighth time this season with 17 points, connecting on 4-of-7 attempts from beyond the arc. Enike Anyia (Los Angeles, Calif./Wilbraham & Monson Academy) contributed 13 points, a team-best nine rebounds and three assists, while Robinson added 10 points.
