NEW YORK, N.Y. – Sophia Spralja found the back of the net Saturday, but it wasn't enough, as CCNY used a strong second half to defeat Sarah Lawrence in a non-conference women's soccer game at Randall's Island.

Sarah Lawrence took an early 1-0 lead, scoring 3:33 into the contest. Spralja scored her first goal of the season, finishing off a great pass from
Tiffany McBrayer.
CCNY, who entered the day 4-0 against Skyline opponents, equalized the contest in the ninth minute with a score from Daniela Grisales-Agudelo.
The Beavers exploded offensively in the second half, scoring four times. Ingrid Rosario scored in the 68
th minute, followed by Gabrielle Duchausse 1:01 later. Tatiana Zuluaga found the back of the net in the 72nd minute and later scored in the 84th minute.
Sarah Lawrence took 13 shots, including eight attempts on frame. McBrayer and
Lauren Ashby put three shots each on target.
