BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – The Sarah Lawrence men's swimming team won 10 events on Saturday, taking first-place in the Sarah Lawrence/TYR Sprint Carnival at Campbell Sports Center. The Gryphons scored 295.5 points, winning the meet for the second time in team history. Sarah Lawrence began hosting the meet in 2013.

GRYPHON VICTORIES
Coming off a strong performance in the team's season-opening win against Queensborough CC,
Chaz Stafford had another terrific showing in the pool on Saturday. The first year was victorious in the 50 back with a time of 29.24, while winning the 100 back in 1:00.70 and the 200 free in 1:49.04, 13 seconds faster than the second-place swimmer.
Mani Roshandel had another strong meet for a second straight week, winning the 100 fly in 59.60. The rookie also won the 100 breast in 1:03.82, while tying for the top time in the 50 breast with a mark of 29.17.
Miles Washington was the top swimmer in the 50 free, finishing the race in 23.27.
Anthony Lee was victorious in the 50 fly, completing the race in 25.27.
GRYPHON RELAYS
Sarah Lawrence finished first in the 200 medley relay, as a team of Stafford, Roshandel, Washington and Lee turned in a time of 1:46.46, nearly seven seconds faster than the second-place finisher.
In the 200 free relay, a quartet of Washington, Roshandel, Stafford and Lee finished in first-place with a mark of 1:35.31.
