BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – The Sarah Lawrence women's volleyball team split a Skyline tri-match Sunday at Campbell Sports Center. The Gryphons were defeated by Old Westbury, 3-1, but rebounded to defeat Yeshiva in straight sets for their first conference win of the year.

RECAP
Melanie Coleman finished with 27 kills on the day, while
Camryn Sanchez added 10 kills and 13 assists.
Cat Ramey, the school-record holder in aces, added 12 more to her total, while also contributing nine kills.
Isabel Pecora paced the Gryphons with 41 assists and seven aces, while
Lauren Kilroy added 24 digs, six aces and a pair of kills.
Lucy Decarlo produced eight kills and four aces, while
Helen Song contributed five kills, an ace and one block.
Old Westbury 3, SLC 1
Sarah Lawrence opened up an 8-6 lead to begin the match, but an 11-4 spurt, including six unanswered, gave Old Westbury the lead for good, securing a 25-19 win. The Gryphons tied the series in the second set, rallying from a 21-18 deficit. Sarah Lawrence scored four straight points to take the lead and the final three of the game.
Trailing 24-20 in the third set, the Gryphons closed the gap with three straight points. The Panthers held on, taking advantage of an error to win, 25-23. Old Westbury raced out to an 11-4 lead in the fourth set en route to securing the set and match victories.
SLC 3, Yeshiva 0
The Gryphons cruised to a 25-10 win in the opening frame, finishing the set with seven unanswered points. Sarah Lawrence led throughout the second set after racing out to a 5-2 advantage to win 25-16. The Gryphons completed the sweep, scoring the last three points of the set to win, 25-17.
