BROOKLYN, N.Y. – The Sarah Lawrence women's basketball team opened up its 2018-19 season Saturday with a 59-46 loss at Pratt at Activities Resource Center.

Emmamazy Prior led all scorers with 18 points, a new career-best. The senior also contributed nine rebounds and two steals.
In her collegiate debut,
Camryn Davis scored 12 points, including seven from the free throw line (7-8). The rookie added five boards, a pair of assists and one steal.
Melanie Coleman finished with six points, nine rebounds and one block, while sophomores
Tess Carrier and
Kaylin Yamada scored five points each.

Sarah Lawrence, entering its second season as a varsity program, scored just five points in the first quarter, but rebounded to score in double-figures in the final three periods.
The Gryphons had their strongest offensive outing in the final quarter, outscoring the Cannoneers, 18-10. Sarah Lawrence cut the deficit as low as 11 in the final minutes, but Pratt was able to hold on for the season-opening win.
