BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – Following a strong performance at Mount Saint Mary, Sarah Lawrence first-year Drew Lei-Alerta has been named Skyline Women's Swimming Rookie of the Week, announced by the conference on Tuesday.

In her first conference dual meet of the season, the rookie was the top performer in the 200 fly, touching the wall in 2:17.88, breaking her own school record of 2:18.23 recorded in the team's victory over Queensborough CC. The first-year initially broke the previous standard of 2:20.05 set by Colette Harley in 2014.

Lei-Alerta becomes the fourth Gryphon in team history to earn Skyline Rookie of the Week recognition, joining Hannah Lawson, Devon Peal and Naima Mackrel.

Lei-Alerta and the rest of the Sarah Lawrence women's swimming team return to the pool Friday (Nov. 16) for a Skyline tri-meet with St. Joseph's Long Island and Maritime.
