Men’s Swimming Breaks Two School Records Against Maritime

PATCHOGUE, N.Y. - The Sarah Lawrence men's swimming team broke two school records on Friday in a Skyline meet with Maritime at Danzi Athletic Center.

IN SHORT
Maritime (3-0, 1-0) def. Sarah Lawrence (2-2, 0-2), 132-69.

GRYPHONS VICTORIES
Chaz Stafford had a strong outing, winning two events. The Skyline Rookie of the Week won the 200 free with a time of 1:49.21, nine seconds faster than the second-place finisher. The rookie followed that up with a first-place effort in the 500 free with a mark of 4:35.05, breaking his own school record of 4:58.54.

Mani Roshandel was victorious in the 200 IM, winning the race in 2:10.34, nearly 15 seconds faster than the second-place swimmer. The first year also won the 100 back in 1:03.94.

Anthony Lee was the top swimmer in the 100 free, touching the wall in 50.93. The senior was also the runner-up in the 50 free with a time of 23.05. 

GRYPHON RELAYS
In the 200 medley relay, the team of Stafford, Roshandel, Lee and Miles Washington was the runner-up with a time of 1:45.83, beating the previous record of 1:45.94 set by the quartet against Queensborough CC.
