Women’s Swimming Wins Six Events at Skyline Tri-Meet

PATCHOGUE, N.Y. - The Sarah Lawrence women's swimming team won six events on Friday in a Skyline tri-meet with St. Joseph's Long Island and Maritime at Danzi Athletic Center.

IN SHORT
St. Joseph's Long Island (4-1, 2-0) def. Sarah Lawrence, 99-89
Maritime (2-1, 2-2) def. Sarah Lawrence (2-3, 0-3), 95-83

GRYPHONS VICTORIES
Audrey De Szendeffy was the top performer in the 1,000 free, winning in 12:00.29, nearly 10 seconds faster than the second-place swimmer.

Drew Lei-Alerta was strong in the 200 free, touching the wall in 2:04.07, six seconds faster than the runner-up participant. The Skyline Rookie of the Week also won the 100 fly in 1:02.37, eight seconds faster than the next finisher.

Devon Peal was victorious in the 200 IM, winning in 2:31.33, while Caitie Adler was the top performer in the 100 breast with a mark of 1:19.48.

GRYPHONS RELAYS
In the 200 medley relay, a team of Peal, Andrea Corbin, Adler and Eimile Briggs was victorious with a time of 2:07.34.

UP NEXT
Sarah Lawrence returns to the pool Saturday (Nov. 17) for its Senior Day meet with St. Joseph's Brooklyn at Campbell Sports Center.
