Women’s Swimming Defeats St. Joseph’s Brooklyn on Senior Day

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. - The Sarah Lawrence women's swimming team picked up its first Skyline victory of the season on Saturday, defeating St. Joseph's Brooklyn, 115-40, on Senior Day at Campbell Sports Center. During the meet, the Gryphons swimming programs recognized their senior class: Devon Peal, Anthony Lee, Shaurya Chawla and Sebastian Pizzaro.

GRYPHONS VICTORIES
Audrey de Szendeffy was victorious in the 200 free, winning the race in 2:13.75, nearly 20 seconds faster than the second-place swimmer.

Eimile Briggs won the 50 free in 28.32, while Devon Peal won the 200 back in 2:25.81. Abigail Falato won the 500 free in 6:54.87, and Caitie Adler won the 200 breast in 2:51.44.

Drew Lei-Alerta was the best swimmer in the 200 IM, winning in 2:22.90, 15 seconds faster than the next finisher. The rookie also won the 100 free in 57.93.

GRYPHONS RELAYS
Sarah Lawrence won both of its relay events. In the 200 medley relay, a team of Adler, De Szendeffy, Andrea Corbin and Falato won in 2:15.37.

In the 200 free relay, a quartet of Lei-Alerta, De Szendeffy, Briggs and Peal was victorious in 1:51.20.
