Lei-Alerta Receives Back-to-Back Skyline Rookie of the Week Accolades

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – For a second straight week, Sarah Lawrence first year Drew Lei-Alerta has been named Skyline Women's Swimming Rookie of the Week, announced by the conference on Monday.

Lei-Alerta had a strong showing against three Skyline programs. In a tri-meet with St. Joseph's Long Island and Maritime, the rookie was the top performer in the 200 free, touching the wall in 2:04.07, six seconds faster than the runner-up participant. She also won the 100 fly in 1:02.37, eight seconds faster than the next finisher.

In Saturday's win over St. Joseph's Brooklyn, the first year was the best swimmer in the 200 IM, winning in 2:22.90, 15 seconds faster than the next finisher. The rookie also won the 100 free in 57.93.

Sarah Lawrence returns to the pool on Nov. 27 at Old Westbury.
