Women’s Swimming Sweeps Old Westbury Tri-Meet

OLD WESTBURY, N.Y. - The Sarah Lawrence women's swimming team earned victories over Old Westbury (115-10) and John Jay (111-76) on Tuesday at Clark Athletic Center.

GRYPHONS VICTORIES
Devon Peal was the top performer in the 1,000 free, winning in 13:05.40. The senior also won the 100 free in 1:01.36. 

Caitie Adler was victorious in the 200 free, touching the wall in 2:24.95. It was one of two victories for the junior, who also won the 100 breast in 1:18.99.

Drew Lei-Alerta was the top swimmer in the 50 free, winning in 26.58. The two-time Skyline Rookie of the Week honoree also won the 100 fly in 1:01.84.

Andrea Corbin took first place in the 200 IM with a time of 2:36.11, rallying to defeat Maya Chedraoui who finished in 2:36.12.

Eimile Briggs was the top performer in the 100 back with a mark of 1:14.12, while Abigail Falato won the 500 free in 6:56.97.

In the 200 medley relay, a team of Peal, Corbin, Lei-Alerta and Briggs won in 2:03.38, seven seconds faster than the second-place squad.
