Women’s Basketball Falls at Purchase

PURCHASE, N.Y. - The Sarah Lawrence women's basketball team suffered an 87-49 loss Saturday to Purchase at Purchase Gymnasium.

TOP GRYPHON PERFORMERS
Camryn Davis paced Sarah Lawrence with 14 points, while collecting three steals.

Emmamazy Prior finished with a double-double, recording 10 points and 10 rebounds. Taryn Penna added nine points, three rebounds, four assists and two steals, while Ruth Doberenz contributed seven points and Tess Carrier scored five.

RECAP
In the first quarter, Sarah Lawrence took an 8-7 lead with 5:40 remaining, thanks to a basket from Davis. Purchase finished the period on a 14-2 run to take the lead for the remainder of the contest.

The Gryphons had a strong final quarter, outscoring the Panthers 21-19, but it was too late, as Purchase went on to secure its first conference win of the season.
