BRONXVILLE, N.Y. - For a third time this season, Sarah Lawrence first year Drew Lei-Alerta has been named Skyline Women's Swimming Rookie of the Week, announced by the conference on Monday.
Lei-Alerta's third Skyline weekly honor of the year comes after a strong outing at the two-day Hamilton Invitational. She scored a team-high 80 points, third most among participants at the meet, while breaking two school records.
The rookie broke the school record in the 400 IM, finishing with a time of 4:52.17, beating the previous standard of 5:02.25 recorded by teammate Devon Peal in 2016.
Lei-Alerta also broke her own school standard in the 200 fly. She finished third in the race with a time of 2:13.48, beating her previous best of 2:17.88. She also turned in a season-best performance in the 200 IM with a mark of 2:16.08.
