PURCHASE, N.Y. - The Sarah Lawrence women's swimming team wrapped up the semester Saturday with a Skyline quad meet at Purchase Pool. The Gryphons posted victories over Purchase (110-27) and St. Joseph's Long Island (92-69), but fell to defending conference champion Merchant Marine (132-55) in the final meet of 2018.

NOTABLE PERFORMANCES
Drew Lei-Alerta, the Skyline Rookie of the Week, was the top swimmer in the 200 fly, winning in 2:17.41, nearly 23 seconds faster than the second-place finisher.
Devon Peal was victorious in the 200 back, touching the wall in 2:22.08. The senior was also the runner-up in the 200 free with a time of 2:13.39.
Audrey de Szendeffy was the second-place swimmer in the 500 free, touching the wall in 5:59.95.
Andrea Corbin finished third in the 50 free with a mark of 28.66, a new personal-best. She also finished among the top five in the 200 breast with a performance of 2:56.29.
In the 400 free relay, a team of Peal, Corbin, Szendeffy and Lei-Alerta finished second with a time of 4:06.50.
In the 400 medley relay, a quartet of Eimile Briggs, Adler, Lei-Alerta and Szendeffy was the runner-up with a mark of 4:35.90.
